The benefactor of the canned goods collected during the Last Saturday of the Month Ride on May, 28, 2011, is the Good Provider Food Bank of Southern California.

"We chose this particular food bank because of whom they feed, mainly children," said Jeri Thompson, co-creator of Long Beach Trikkers. "Their breakdown includes serving, 68% children, 13% adults and 19% seniors."

Good Provider Food Bank
is the primary food provider for 700 community-based agencies who feed the poorest of the poor in Long Beach and throughout Los Angeles County. That makes up 2.5% of the entire Los Angeles population.

Not only are canned goods accepted, fresh produce, frozen food, shelf-stable foods, dairy products and juice are also welcomed. Anything within the expiration date. And of course cash!
