Ready for a Rockin' and Rollin' Halloween Party?

The spooky, the freaky and the funny will be carving up the beaches of LA’s South Bay on Saturday, October 29th with the 3rd annual Trikke & Treat Halloween Ride, sponsored by TrikkeWorld and SouthBay Trikke (official local dealer of the magazine).

“This is one of our most fun events,” said Andy Pliska, president of SouthBay Trikke. “We will probably have one of our largest crowds.”

While costumes are optional, prizes will be awarded for Best Costume and Best Decorated Trikke. But no matter their garb, an entertaining ride is in store for anyone attending the TNT (Trikke & Treat).

Imagine Trikke riders in costume, cruising the coast, watching volleyball players, bikers and beach-goers, many of whom are also in costume. The backdrop for the day: the deep blue Pacific Ocean and spectacular decorations on dreamy beach homes.

“This is the one that started it all,” said Pliska, referring to the first TNT in 2009. “We started with themed rides, then branched off into the LSM’s.”

Speaking of which, the TNT, scheduled for the last Saturday of the month, is also October’s LSM (Last Saturday of the Month Ride).

“This ride is special for the magazine,” said Randy Boyd, publisher of TrikkeWorld. “At last year’s event, the magazine announced itself and its January, 2011 debut with a trifold brochure called Ride Day. There was no turning back after that!”

The Trikke & Treat Halloween Ride starts at 10am at Miramar Park on Torrance Beach.

Entry Fee is a canned food item to be donated to the Food Bank of Southern California.

Additionally, commemorative Trikke & Treat t-shirts are available for $15. ($20 if shipping). The shirt features a skeleton riding a Trikke, as designed by graphic artist Justin Tice. To place an order, call SouthBay Trikke at 310.803.0445.
